The organisation was initially formed in 2001, Maulana commenced working from his home initially and then in 2003, we took our first offices at the Atomic Centre in Overport. In 2011 through the Duas of Huzoor Taajush Shariah and Huzoor Muhadith-e-Kabeer, we were able to secure larger premises on long term rental. The Centre then moved to its new premises at 28 Clayton Road, Overport. The Centre is currently operating from the said premises.
With our minimum resources the organisation is attempting to serve the Deen to the best of our ability. This, is through the Grace of Almighty Allah and the Blessings of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa. This organisation is named after Ghaus-ul-Waqt Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam Hind who is the distinguished son of Mujaddid-e-Deen-o-Millat Ash Shah Imam Ahmed Raza Khan. We are blessed with the Duas and Blessings of Great Personalities Like Taajush Shariah, Rahbar-e-Tariqat Hazrat Allama Mufti Mohammed Akhtar Raza Khan Qadri Azhari and Muhadith-e-Kabeer Hazrat Allama Zia ul Mustafa Qadri Amjadi and Mujahid-e-Ahle Sunnat Allama Sayed Shah Turabul Haq Qaadiri. It is through their blessings that we are able to do whatever we are doing.
Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre is a Sunni Sahihul Aqida non-political and Islamic Non-profit organization that has nothing to do with terrorism or any acts which are contrary to the command of Allah and His Rasool. We follow the Deen-e-Mustafa as passed down by the Sahaba-e-Kiraam, Taab'een; Tab' Taab'een; A'ima-e-Mujtahideen and Awliyah-e-Kaamileen; especially Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam Jilani Al Baghdadi; Sultanul Hind Khaja Ghareeb Nawaaz; Hazrat Sayyid Aal-e-Rasool Marahrawi; Mujaddid-e-Deen-o-Millat Aala Hazrat Ash Shah Imam Ahmed Raza Khan; Hujjatul Islam Huzoor Haamid Raza Khan; Ghaus-ul-Waqt Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam Hind and all the other Masha'ikh-e-Izaam, which is today known as MASLAK-E-AALA HAZRAT. We condemn and refute the false sects such as wahabi, deobandi, shia, taahiri etc. and fully prescribe to the verdicts as mentioned in the 'Husaamul Haramain' of Imam Ahl-e-Sunnat.
Each one of us knows well, that any nation with little or no knowledge is regarded as weak and vulnerable. Islam is a nation of knowledge and wisdom. It is thus incumbent upon us to impart this knowledge of Deen to those around us, so that they may become educated and thus better understand the beautiful teachings of Islam. The aim of the Centre is to propagate the teachings of Islam positively and to educate the masses in regards to True Islam which is the way of the Ahl-e-Sunnat Wa Jama'at. Today many people, even the misled sects claim to be Sunni and the media seems to regard even the wahabis etc. as Sunni whereas in reality they are not Sunni. In this time, the True Sunnis are those who are known as 'Barelvi'. Alhamdulillah we are Sunni Barelvi and Barelvi is not a sect but it is the name of recognition that has been used for the True Muslims in the world today. We are thus committed to protecting the Imaan of True Muslims from the corrupt views and ways of the deviated sects.
The Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre provides numerous services to the Muslim Ummah. Alhamdulillah, all the services provided by the centre are FREE OF CHARGE. Everything is done solely for attaining the pleasure of Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet. Some of the services provided by us are as follows:
The publications department is responsible for publishing into English numerous books pertaining to relevant Islamic topics. We have to date translated and published more than 55 books. These books have all been distributed FREE OF CHARGE. With the exception of books, the Centre has also published thousands of pamphlets and flyers pertaining to relevant issues. Pictures of some of the books published by us can be seen on the last page of this brochure. Just in 2011 alone, the centre published more than 2.5million pages of Islamic literature for free distribution.
We give grocery hampers and assist needy Muslims to the best of our ability, even with our minimum finances. With the exception of this, we have continued to assist with our minimum funds as many people as possible over the years, including our Ulama and students of Deen.
We answer as per Quran and Sunnah, all religious queries that are sent to us from South Africa and numerous other countries.
We are trying to propagate the beautiful Deen of Islam amongst unbelievers, showing them the beauty of Islam.
We have been assisting certain Muslim prisoners in prisons throughout the country by providing them with Islamic literature, hats and tasbeehs etc. We receive letters from them on a daily basis and Alhamdulillah, numerous non- Muslim inmates have also accepted Islam through our humble efforts.
We have been assisting other organisations in African countries and abroad, by providing educational support to them. Our books are also distributed in numerous countries around the globe. We are currently working on a project to complete a proper Sunni Sahihul Aqida Syllabus for Madressas.
Bahaar-e-Shariat is our pilot Project. It is the translation of this valuable and most important Book of Fiqh, which is in 17 volumes. The centre has already published 2000 copies of volume 16 (a 500 page document which was published first as it deals with daily issues we face). Volumes 1,2,3 are not also ready for printing approximately 650 pages. Other volumes are to follow soon.
The Centre runs an official website under the name www.noori.org The site contains many books published by us, for free reading or download and includes articles on numerous topics.
A monthly spiritual gathering is hosted once a month at the Centre for the spiritual upliftment of the Ummah. The program is frequent by the keen and interested. Niaz meals after provided to all those who attend the program.
The Founder and Head of our Centre Maulana Afthab Cassim Al-Qaadiri Razvi Noori, travels to numerous countries delivering lectures and passing the True Message of Islam. He has travelled to many African countries including Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. He has also inspired the hearts of Sunni Muslims in Amsterdam, India, Sri Lanka and has now also been invited to the UK. He has avoided travelling excessively in the past due to his commitment to the translation of Bahaar-e-Shariat and other projects. However, due to invitations from organizations abroad and finding it to be the need of the hour, he has agreed to undertake these journeys for the sake of Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jama'at.
